Lonestar u19s Win Gold at Disney
Three shoot-out wins and a dramatic 1-0 win in the Final led Lonestar U19s to 1st place in the Disney Sunshine Showcase, Maleficent Division

Lonestar u19s had a tournament to remember, qualifying in 2nd place in their group, with the following results:
- 2-0 win vs Play Pro Global a team complied of some of the most promising players in South America
- 3-0 win vs Striker Star 2nd Team – from Boston
- 2-1 loss vs Freedom HKY – eventual winners of the Cruella Division
From the group stage they moved into the Knockouts, but before they started a Shoot Out vs Alpha Hockey was needed to finalize the seedings. This went to an incredible 6 sudden death shots before Zoe Schaffer scored the winner for Lonestar.
In the first knockout round vs NJ Grit another shootout was required after winning goal for Lonestar was cruelly ruled out in favor of a Penalty Stroke which was missed. Nevertheless Zoe Schaffer and Meg Canfield scored shoot-outs to send the team through to the Semi Finals.
The semi-final against Alpha Hockey was a shorted match of 25mins due to weather delays and this led to a stalemate, 0-0 leading to a remarkable 4th shootout of the tournament. Zoe Schaffer delivered again to send Lonestar through to their first final.
Playing Striker Stars 1st Team they emerged victorious this time with a 1-0 win in regular time, thanks again to (you guessed it!) Zoe Schaffer with a crisp strike into the bottom right hand corner from the top left of the Circle.
A memorable tournament for the everyone associated with the club!
