Lone Star Adult team go down to a narrow 6-5 defeat in their first ever International game

Nov 22 2015, Austin, TX – A visit from our Mexican neighbors Tigres of Monterrey resulted in a very close encounter for the Lone Star adult mixed team. Missing a few key players through injury and several through a late night the night before (not naming any name, Pritam!!), the LS team, led the game at the end of the 3rd quarter but eventually fell to a narrow defeat. The more youthful Monterrey team probably just about deserved victory in what we hope will be a regular event. Notable performances from the Lone Star volunteer (some would say conscripted) goalkeepers proved that this is an area that requires some focus and team player-manager Arif has been given “carte blanche” with the club checkbook to find us a goalie – if any are reading and want to play – you are hired !!
